Trello Integration

Installation

  1. Go to your project and then click the tab Integrations.

  2. On the integrations page click the button Connect next to Trello as show in the image below. Connect Trello integration to your project.

  3. If this is the first time you are connecting Feedbucket and Trello you will be redirected to Trello where you have to allow Feedbucket. Once the connection between Feedbucket and Trello has been established you will be redirected back to Feedbucket. Connect your Trello account with Feedbucket

  4. You will now see a green bar on the Trello integration that indicates that the connection is made. The settings should have opened automatically but in case it doesn't, click on the Settings button to start configuring the Trello connection for this project.

Configuration

Configure the connection between Feedbucket and Trello

  1. Select the board that this project should connect to.
  2. Select the list. This is where Feedbucket will create cards when new feedback is added.
  3. Resolve when a card in Trello is archived. If you use this option the feedback in Feedbucket will be marked as resolved only if you archive the card in Trello.
  4. Resolve when a card is moved to this list. This is probably the most common setting. If you have a list called Done as an example the feedback in Feedbucket will be marked as resolved if the card is moved to this list in Trello.

Using the integration

New feedback created

Whenever new feedback is created in Feedbucket, a card will be created in the list that you configured in step #2. The card will have all technical information and the screenshot or video will be added as an attachment.

{info} Note that the task will be created with the Trello account that you connected Feedbucket and Trello with.

New comment created

Whenever a new comment is created in Feedbucket, it will be attached to the Trello card automatically.

There's a 2-way sync here as well. If you add a comment to the card that starts with @feedbucket this will be synced back to Feedbucket. Therefore, you can answer comments from within Trello if you like. Watch the video to see this in action.

Feedback resolved

If you use Resolve when archived as in step #3 of the configuration then Feedbucket will archive the card if the feedback is resolved in Feedbucket. If you instead use Resolve when moved to list as in step #4 in configuration, the card in Trello will be moved to this list if it's resolved in Feedbucket.

There's a 2-way sync here as well. If you have Resolve when archived as in step #3 of the configuration then if you archive the card in Trello it will be marked as resolved in Feedbucket.

If you instead have Resolve when moved to list as in step #4 of the configuration then if you move the card in Trello to this list the feedback will be marked as resolved in Feedbuket.
